500 g frying steak cut into bite size
1 big carrot cut into match stick size
250 g green beans sliced on diagonal
1 tsp white or brown sugar
2 tsp cooking oil
Marinade (not discarded -- it is part of the finished dish):
3 tsp vinegar or lemon juice
4 tsp soy sauce
1 pinch ground black pepper
1/2 cup water
3 cloves garlic crushed
Make marinade in a saucepan, add beef and bring to boil. Simmer until beef is nearly tender. Reduce heat and add sugar and oil.
Leave on heat for a few minutes, then add vegetables. The vegetables should still be crisp when served.
